  1. Influence of welding current


It has a greater impact on heat production than welding time and resistance, and crucially affects the welding quality, so it must be adjusted to a precise position before welding.
The UN1S iron wire butt welding machine controls the welding current by a microcomputer and can accurately adjust the two main factors of welding current and welding time from 1-99%. During the welding process, it is a parameter that must be strictly controlled. The main causes of current changes are grid voltage fluctuations and changes in secondary circuit impedance of resistance AC butt welding machines. The impedance changes due to changes in the geometry of the loop or due to the introduction of different amounts of magnetic metal in the secondary loop. For medium-frequency DC butt welding machines, the secondary circuit impedance changes without significant impact on the current.

  2. Influence of welding time


     Resistance welding machineThe welding time and welding current generally complement each other within a certain range. In order to obtain solder joints of corresponding strength, you can use high current and short time (strong condition, also called hard specification), which is similar to stir-frying, high fire and fast frying, or you can use low current and long time (weak condition, also called soft standard), low fire and slow frying. Reducing the electrode pressure is beneficial to heat generation, but not conducive to shaping.     4. Control of the protruding length of the workpiece

The welding process of iron ring copper ring pneumatic butt welding machine is mainly divided into three stages


(1) Preload preparation
Preloading is to establish good and evenly distributed physical contact points. Therefore, the welding end face of the workpiece and the surface where the current is introduced should be kept clean, and their end faces should be connected at 0 degrees as much as possible to ensure that the initial contact points are as uniform as possible. For workpieces with large cross-section differences, the shape and size of the smaller workpiece should be processed in advance at the port of the larger workpiece before welding, so that the temperature can reach a uniform distribution quickly.


(2) Electric heating
Under the combined action of pressure and resistance heat, the two end faces of resistance butt welding are rapidly heated and liquefied, causing the contact area to increase and finally expand to the entireA joint surface, so that the contact resistance tends to zero, while the workpiece resistance increases as the temperature rises. Under the action of heat conduction, the end surface temperature tends to be uniform, and a certain temperature distribution is formed along the depth of the end of the workpiece. At the same time, under the action of pressure, the workpiece gradually undergoes plastic deformation and shortens.



(3) Upsetting (pushing)
When the temperature of the end face of the workpiece tends to be uniform and a certain uniform temperature distribution is formed along the depth of the end of the workpiece, it enters the upsetting stage. At this time, the welding machine automatically stops powering for upsetting.


In actual use, heating and upsetting are often completed automatically. After completion, just press the stop button.
