Compared with the previous five generations of resistance butt welding machines, it welds longer, better, faster, more accurately, has more adjustability, is safer, and has wider uses. It can not only butt conventional metal rods, pipes, profiles, and plates, but can also weld multi-strand copper wires and aluminum wires, dissimilar metal copper tubes, and aluminum tubes (copper-aluminum tubes). There are many choices, including standard configuration, high-end configuration and non-standard options. Because it is often used for welding copper and aluminum pipes, it is also called copper and aluminum pipe butt welding machine internally.
Its principle is quite simple
It is basically the same as resistance butt welding (butt welding), but it is very different from spot welding. One horizontal and one vertical, butt welding is vertically pressurized and clamped, and then the horizontal and transverse 0-degree upsetting (pushing) force is applied, and the left and right movements are used to weld; while the spot welding is vertically pressed at 90 degrees, and the up and down movements are welded. The butt welding operation is to clamp two metal workpieces left and right in a conductive electrode fixture so that they are end-to-end. Pressure is applied to make the current pass through the metal workpiece. The workpiece's own resistance heat is used to heat the workpiece to a plastic state, and then it is quickly extruded laterally to complete the welding.
