1. Load duty cycle refers to the ratio of the time when power is supplied with rated power to one cycle time in a specified cycle.Resistance welding machineThe specified cycle is 60 seconds. If the power is energized at rated power for 30 seconds within 60 seconds, the load duration is 50%. If the power is energized for 12 seconds, it is 20%. Of course, the time it takes to power on within 60 seconds can be added up many times.
2. How to convert the rated power under different load duration rates:
The ratio of rated power is equal to the ratio of the square root of load duty cycle.
This is the same thing as 20% equals 0.2, 50% equals 0.5, and 100% equals 1.
If we now know that the rated power under 50% load is 400kva, we want to find the rated power under 20% load:
The square root of 0.5 is 0.707, the square root of 0.2 is 0.447, 0.707÷0.447=1.58, 400×1.58=632, that is, the rated power at 20% load duration is 632kva. By analogy, the square root of 1 is still 1, 0.707÷1=0.707, 400×0.707=283, so the rated power at 100% load duration is 283kva.
