The size of the contact resistance is related to the temperature, pressure and surface condition of the contact surface. When there are obvious stains or oxides on the contact surface, the contact resistance increases, and the temperature or pressure becomes higher, which will reduce the contact resistance due to the increase in the actual contact area.
When electric heating starts, the current density on the contact port is very large. First, some contact points are rapidly heated, the temperature rises, and the contact resistance decreases sharply. When heated to a certain temperature, the contact resistance completely disappears.
The heat source of the copper and aluminum tube butt welding machine is the resistance heat generated by the resistance of the copper and aluminum tubes themselves in the welding area. During butt welding, the contact resistance exists for a short time, and the heat generated accounts for about 10% of the total heat. However, this part of the heat is generated in a very narrow area between the copper and aluminum tubes and the electrodes, causing the temperature in this area to rise rapidly, causing the internal resistance of the copper and aluminum tubes to increase rapidly. When the contact resistance disappears, the resistance heat generation intensity in the welding area is much higher than that in other parts, and the temperature rises sharply to 80%-90% of the melting point of the material. The temperature distribution on the end face is uniform, forming a suitable temperature field along the length of the copper-aluminum tube. As the electric heating continues, a metal droplet package is formed. Under the action of upsetting, the copper and aluminum tube droplet package is burst and undergoes plastic deformation. The displacement of the machine head and clamp increases, thereby fusing together to complete the docking.
